What is the best diet to follow?

Whoa, loaded question!  Is it loaded with vegi's or baked potatoes? There are so many ways to go about nutrition.  What do you think is the best way to eat healthfully and manage your weight and health goals?  Paleo? Low Carb? Mediterranean? Vegan? Dash? All in or in moderation? Intermittent fasting? Supplements?  It is overwhelming to really dig deep so it helps me to hear what works for others.

Good friend of mine has embraced Whole 30.  I looked at it and oh my gosh.  That's too much for me.  I need someone to spell out something simple. Heart healthy and that will provide energy.
