hi. my father has an advanced state of copd, the breathing problem, due to 55 years of smoking. he has never been a large man, but he has lost 18lbs. in 3 weeks. he has extreme nausea, fatigue, unsteadiness while standing, and has no apeitite whatsoever. he is getting worse not better. the only time i have seen him worse was 15 years ago, when his body could no longer take the punishment of 35 years of drinking a min.32oz./day of rum, and up to 64oz./day. he has been sober ever since. we took him to the hospital 2 days ago, and all those douchbags did was take blood, which came back normally, except for a moderate drop in red blood cells. i know im not a doctor, nor am i smart, but even i couldnt believe it when they discharged him 4 hours later, and set up an appt. with a spec., 2 frigging weeks from now. how the hell can a 71 year old man with advanced copd, and a loss of 18 lbs. bringing him down to 112 lbs., and not even bother to keep him as a precaution, as well as hook him up to an iv of glucose, as well as other vital nutrients he is seriously lacking, its disgusting, and while i sincerely mean no offense or to be rude, but if my father had not have begged me to not cause a problem, i would have left that ***** doctor in a dumpster. please, he is all the family i have left, if there is anything you can suggest or diagnose, that would restore his strength and/or his apetite, i would be very grateful. thank you.
