Hi there!
Adrenal glands are structures located above the kidneys. Adrenal glands produce sex and stress hormones. Adrenal insufficiencies cause enlargement of the adrenal gland. There are several causes of an enlarged adrenal like Addison’s disease, amyloidosis, Cushing’s disease, Pheochromocytoma, tuberculosis, etc.Enlarged adrenals can lead to complications if left untreated. Treatment will depend entirely on the symptoms the patient is experiencing and the nature of the disorder. Arriving at a diagnosis is important. Consult a physician. He might get your other tests done. Hope you find this information useful. Do write to us again with more details.
Take care and good luck!
