I want to ask something (HOCD)

So I have been doing great I guess with my HOCD. I have also develop small Pocd but that isn't so bad. But there is things which are like worrying and annoying me. So I don't feel anxiety almost at all when I get these gay-sex thoughts and all. I get these thoughts more than 5 times a day and they don't bring anxiety anymore but they are uncomftortable to think. I feel like I'm too comftortable with these thoughts because I let these thoughts just be there. I don't hate these thoughts but also I don't like these thoughts. I'm not grossed about these thoughts and these are things which are worrying me. Also everytime I'm with my friends sitting somewhere I get these thoughts of kissing them which annoys me but don't bring anxiety again. And also if I haven't prepared for man without shirt on, I get these weird feelings in my groin and in my lower stomach. So are these kind of thoughts normal? Am I going to the right direction in my recovery? Will these thoughts go away some point? I could ask million questions but I leave it there.

Because you are not grossed out by these thoughts, it doesn't mean you actually like them. You will get recurring thoughts that you do not want of your friends. By concentrating on your groin, you will get responses from that area. You are doing a good thing by letting the thoughts be there. If you try to get rid of them it will make it worse. I had this type of OCD before and it was hard. But although I am not gay, I just accepted the possibility that one day it could happen. But I lived out my time enjoying men (I'm female), and still continue to do so. If you can, get therapy. Do not search for reassurance on here telling you you're not gay, because that will backfire. Only YOU have the power of your thoughts.
