Is it OCD or intuition?

Hello. My boyfriend at the age of 18 made manipulative - demonstrative suicide attempt, suicide gesture to influence his friends. I am constantly thinking about his future. Local psychiatrist told me that there is nothing to worry about, he is absolutely healthy boy. No psychiatric condition has been detected in my boyfriend's case. I constantly think that he is going to kill himself. I have OCD. Is it OCD or intuition telling me this.
Opinions are welcome.

I grew up my whole life with a younger brother with severe OCD and tend to befriend every OCD-sufferer I come across. If I've learned anything about people with OCD, they are all angels and are constantly looking out for their loved ones. Serotonin is what controls how loud our impulses are in the mind. Since OCD is related to serotonin not functioning properly, it can make it chemically difficult to block out an impulse you have about your boyfriend. I've seen people use suicidal threats just to manipulate people before (they aren't remotely suicidal/depressed). Hope that can help you stop worrying, I know the OCD can make it more difficult... If you are genuinely concerned, don't waste time worrying and talk to him about the issue.

I am officially diagnosed with OCD. My boyfriend did not try to kill himself, he mad demonstrative - manipulative attempt, not genuine suicide attempt. That is why I am interested whether this is intuition or OCD.

Facts are facts.  So if your boyfriend did truly try to kill himself, then yes there is cause for concern.  Worrying about something doesn't make a person OCD...everybody worries.  It is when you have unwanted intrusive thoughts or compulsions that you may be diagnosed with OCD.  So in this case I think your worry is justified and it is just normal worry.
