Your problem sounds like an obsessive-compulsive problem. I used to have such problems before. When I was a little child I even remember that I also made myself vomitting and could not stop myself. These manias are actually very deep-rooted habits which are extremely difficult to overcome. The good news is that it is possible to overcome it. But you should immediately start exerting control over yourself, otherwise it would become worse (as you can already see). If you want something more concrete I would recommend you Vipassana meditation; go to one of these courses (they have courses worldwide) which are directed precisely to self-control. I have myself experienced a huge improvement from it.

Hi there.  I'm not a doctor but wanted to share with you a few things about what you describe.  Making oneself vomiting is often referred to as bulimia.  And bulimia has much to do with our emotional state.  Eating disorders are often psychiatric in nature and need treatment.  You feel better when you vomit because you are using it as a release of not only the contents of your stomach but a release of your emotions.  It is also a way to exert control when we feel like much of our life is out of control.  So, this has become your way of feeling better emotionally---------- like your drug.

My suggestion is to immediately seek help.  Eating disorders are nothing to mess around with.  You obviously know that not eating, vomiting, etc. is very unhealthy for your body as a whole.  If done long enough, it can cause death.  A psychiatrist is the specialist that you need to work with and in the US there are some psychiatrists that deal only with eating disorders.  Look up Achoria centers or call your medical doctor--------- be honest with them and ask for references.  A support group will also be essential.  You have to learn to deal with emotions in a healthy way, find control elsewhere.  And you really need an expert to guide you.

By the way, do you have any history of depression or anxiety?
