Oh goodness, well I think you ought to really get into see a doctor. Do you think the lack of trust for your doctor possibly comes from a recent change in mind and paranioa? If you have been hearing repeating thoughts and noises, that can certainly come with other things such as paranoia. If you've recently come off of a medication, that can make things worse. I'm not quite sure where the mouth and head pain is coming from and how that relates to prozac-I would first think to other causes succh as hitting your head recently or an infection, which actually can cause changes in the mind if bad enough. Can you at least go to your primary medical physician? Do you trust him/her? Even if you are on the medivcations that you are on, it sounds like somethings missing. If you realkly feel the head/mouth pain and mental changes are related, I would honestly go to your general practitioner so she/he can physically examin you and possibly order blood work or more tests to rule out anything medically, not psychologically, is going on. Perhaps he/she would have advice for you as well on what you can do about your psychiatrists if you don't trust them. Most importantly, with those repeating thoughts and noises, if anything dangerous comes up there are always hotlines you can call. Let us know how everything goes and good luck!

I understand how you feel about psychiatrists and druggin you up. When I was 8 my mom sent me to a shrink and put me on all these meds when there was nothing wrong with me! My parents had just gotten a divorce, a little depression was to be expected, I wasn't psychotic! Now I'm actually in a similar place as you. I've been on meds since I was 8 years old, now I'm 23. I know I don't need them. This horrible shrink I saw when I was in eating disorder treatment put me on 450mg of Effexor XR-way above the FDA guidelines. And now I can't get off of it as the withdrawl symptoms are worse then heroine! I feel like he screwed me over for life! Especially because the medication is $400/month. Sigh, doctors for ya. I am not too sure how well I understand parts of your response. What do you keep trying that doesn't work? What I can say to that though is that our definition of insanity in NA is repeating the same things over and over and expectiing different results. But that's the first step into finding the solution-identifying the problem. Step 1=identify the problem-you're on all these meds and are stuck with these additional symptoms. Step 2=identify the solution-suggestions: find a doctor willing to work with you to help you get off the meds you don't want to be on and a doctor who's willing to listen. Persistence is key, those doctors are hard to find, but they're out there! Also, remember you don't have to do this alone. It's great that you've found God and are talking to Him, but remember there are people you can trust as well. As a nurse, I would strongly suggest not messing with your medications by yourself. Always work with a doctor. If they don't agree with you, at least let them know what's going on. If you can't change doctors, do some research on finding one or two certain medications you'd like to try or be on. Write up a plan for your doctor. Explain you're tired of taking all these pills. If you've done your own research, it can show doctors you're serious about this. If these are psych meds, 1-2 meds should do, not 12. Let me know what meds you're on if you want and I can come up with suggestions for alternatives. I know a lot about meds-that was my favorite subject in nursing. Finally, Step 3=Apply the solution. Whichever solution you chose. This is an action step. Let me know what I can do to help, because I feel for you. I always hated taking my meds when I was younger because they created all these additional symptoms. So I ended up stashing them (not a good idea...). The key is to finding the best med with the least amount of side effects. Also, I'm a little confused why you were put on psych meds in the first place if all you were having was pain on one side of your head-that sounds more like a type of migraine/headache condition. Anyway, let me know what I can do, if you want :) I'd love to try and help. Best wishes.

I messed up...not best answer...I have been doing this for 8 years...My family doctor(s) have worked up a lot! It happened because I had a pain on the side of my head and they first gave me antidepressants...no help...then xanax...built tolerance...then klonopin...built tolerance...then prozac for structural problems and because of tolerances. My head literally blew off and now I have all these additional symptoms and increased problems that I am talking to God about because doctors have given me drugs and that is the problem origin. Now maybe there is a drug that would have been correct or a treatment that might have been better. But today I am at a complete loss except why would I keep doing things that don't work? If I totally stop the meds I am on the pain gets very bad...but I am reducing it and stopped useless lithium recently. I was put on like 12 meds for this at one time. Doctors just drug you get you sick and leave you to go on if they don't try to find the cause. Now I am in like an aftermath so HELP
