I only take adhd med.There going to prescribe me ocd med later in the year I guezs
You mentioned that your intrusive thoughts are not bad when you are distracted. I know that it's not realistic to always be busy- there are going to be moments where you are sitting home... but when these thoughts start to take over I would try to do something like forcing yourself to leave the house and go for a nice walk or go to borders and get a coffee and indulge in a good book. I would keep yourself productive and active as much as you can. Healthy distractions help with ocd. I try to do this myself. Are you on any medications?
Definitely look into someone who teaches CBT. A lot of people with ADHD or ADD also suffer from OCD and anxiety.
It just went away my intrusive thought out of the random in the past but then it get overtake by another though XD.I do have a therapist but i still haven't done therapy for the OCD,i been doing therapy for my ADHD but it's manage now so i want to learn how to cope with my thoughts so i cant react to the though that i am having at a public place so i wont make people think i am weird if the ocd gets worse one day.
How did you get rid of past intrusive thoughts? Did you see a therapist or did you develop your own coping strategies?
