I'm not a doctor but this is my take on it. Inositol is a vitamin and the way it helps is thought to be by affecting certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Your fluoxetine is an SSRI so it is affecting Serotonin. The last thing I would want to see is you going through serotonin syndrome, i.e., too much serotonin. So before you start this I think you should just check it out with your doctor first. It could be that an increase in your fluoxetine may help with the skin picking.
Let me know how it turns out and which way you went for future knowledge.
I already take 20 mg. of fluoxetine each a.m. for depression/ OCD. The skin picking has been periodic but now is becomming more of a problem - I can't seem to stop.
Is it okay to take inositol along with fluoxetine?
This is from Livestrong.com
There are some medications available through your health care professional that might help with skin picking behaviors. A study done in 2009 by the Department of Behavioral Science at Eastern Virginia Medical School concluded that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, are one type of prescription medication effective for this disorder. Some common SSRIs include fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine and sertraline. The study listed other pharmacologic treatments for skin picking, such as inositol, clomipramine, doxepin, inositol, lamotrigine, olanzapine, naltrexone and riluzole. In addition, the study suggested that the prescription medication worked best if combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy.

If you want to give the inositol a try, it looks like most people use the powder mix. I would talk to your doctor first though. Maybe he/she can help you with a dosing strategy. If the inositol works great. If it doesn't then you may want to look into an SSRI.
My best.
