necrosis rsulting from extended drilling

Hello. I will start at the beginning. 10 years ago, a dentist did a partial root canal and placed a temporary filling in tooth #10. I think the dental office did not have prior authorization, and I could not find anyone willing to finish the root canal. |The tooth did not hurt too much, so i let it go for awhile. Of course, I developed an abscess and ended up having the tooth pulled, and the adjacent tooth-#9-had a root canal done at my expense. I was told that my jawbone was infected and I was given antibiotics. The abscess has never gone away, and i still have a raised area that is visible on the front of my gums. 9 months ago, tooth #7 broke 1/8 inch above the gum line. The tooth had a prior root canal and post, and I was told that the post had broken and that I needed to see another dentist who specialized in removing the post and placing a new post. This woman drilled a very long time, and I had 6 or 7 Novocain shots, I could smell burning flesh and see smoke as she was drilling. I left her office and went immediately to my dentist-i had no idea what had happened. My dentist pulled the tooth and took me directly to another oral surgeon. The dentist drilled for so long that she burnt the gums off of my jawbone, and killed quite a bit of the bone. Some of the bone was exposed - some of the bone was still alive. I have subsequently had  all of my upper teeth- from 6 onward- pulled, in hopes of getting an upper denture. At least one of the teeth developed a dry socket, and they are taking a very long time to heal. The site where the bone was burnt is concave from the rest of my jaw by quite a little, and it still hurts. i can feel hard pieces that crack when i press with my tongue-inside my gums.
I feel sick most of the time, my face, mouth, lymph node by my ear on the right hurt. I am on medicaid, and my dentist has used up much of it on a partial that i never got to wear, and surgical extractions, x rays..How much trouble am I in? Will it be much longer? Thanks

if i had and extensive infection, would that make me feel tired and queasy? Also, my urine has started to smell very strong and bad-stinky- different - is that a sign of infection?
thank you.

it is quite painful, but I doubt there are any dentists that will do it free.
It will likely be hard to find any that will take medicaid. I wish that the insurance would see it as a medical issue instead of purely dental.
Thanks- you sound like a good guy, and I hope that you are good to us poor folks!

I wish I could provide a reasonable guess as to when you will begin to feel better, but I can't.  There are many factors which influence healing (smoking, nutritional status, pre-exisiting medical and/or dental diseases, etc...)

I think you should find a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial who accepts your insurance and have them take a look at your mouth.  If you are experiencing pain or swelling for more than two weeks after your procedure then something is not right and requires prompt attention.  Further delay often makes the problem worse.
