[24M|200lbs|6'1"] Knee Crackling when Squatting no pain slight discomfort

I am a 200 lbs 24-year-old male 6'1" non-smoking. I try and workout daily and I played a lot of outdoor basketball between the ages of 18-24. About three months ago I had knee pain (not sure exactly what caused it) and it hurt to walk up and down stairs let alone jumping. I've stayed off my legs for the most part and my knee feels better, but it cracks and crackles now when I squat. I cannot see a doctor for another month and was wondering if I should be concerned. There is no pain, but I can feel something moving behind the lower knee cap and it almost feels uncomfortable? I'd rate it 0.5/10 uncomfortable.
