Now in X-ray shows 4 cavities on right and one on left. One doctor was saying it was useless doing the surgery. Could anyone can help please.

Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums.  That is unfortunate that your wife has this condition and surgery didn't resolve it.  Here is an overview for our readers on AVN or Avasecular Necrosis.  https://www.webmd.com/arthritis/avascular-necrosis-osteonecrosis-symptoms-treatments#2.  And here is an overview of the type of surgery that she had https://nyulangone.org/conditions/osteonecrosis/treatments/joint-preserving-surgery-for-osteonecrosis.

I do hope it wasn't useless to have the surgery but I would question that doctor about what is next if they feel that way. There are other treatment options.  And it's very important to find the core cause of why it is happening to begin with.  Have you all been able to determine that?
