Acetabular fracture and running

Hello, i suffered a non-displaced acetabular fracture (anterior and posterior) in feb 2016. Non-surgical/conservative treatment. Returned to full health. No complications. Question, will I ever be safe to run again it will the ruin the cartilage? Thanks

To clarify, this is your pelvis that was fractured and not your hip?  Glad the treatment you had went well and you returned to full health. Returning to full health means getting back to activities that you want to do.  Have you been strengthening the area once you were able?  Did you work with a physical therapist?  I would check in with your doctor but suspect you can start slow with running again.  But I will say, cartilage damage or 'wear and tear' damage is always a risk from running regardless of a previous fracture.  Running can be hard on your body.  I have a son who is a runner and I know it can become something people crave to do.  But there are other forms of exercise if you are worried.  :>)  But I'd say, check in with your doctor but you should be fully healed at this point.  Here's information on this type of fracture. https://www.epainassist.com/question-and-answer/pain-nociceptive-neuropathic-acute-chronic-visceral-cutaneous-somatic
