I went to the chiropractor it was my first visit. He tooks x-rays and said everything looked good except which he was really surprised, I have a tramatic c1 posterior fracture. My question is what am I looking at when going to my family doctor? Should I watch what I do to?

Hi there!

Well, traumatic fractures of the cervical spine may be catastrophic and often result due to acute injuries. If you have been in an acute injury and have not seen a doctor since, you may consider visiting the ER. If there has been no acute trauma, I would suggest getting the x-rays read by your family physician/ radiologist and getting the injury confirmed before you see an orthopedician/ neurosurgeon.
Hope this helps.

Take care!

Hi,
C1 fracture of at all present is a very serious condition and needs immediate help from an Orthopedician. It will lead to paraplegia if the fracture worsens. Do not neglect it or delay going to an Orthopedician.
