COCCYX INJURY

Hi I need some urgent attention I had a fall and have fractured my right arm elbow & my tail bone is dislocated by approx 60 degrees forward. I ave a major problem as I can't sit, sleep or stand for more than 15-20 mins. I would like to know what can be done to get the tail bone back in its original place and how long will this take. Please advise.

Hi Michael,

Firstly I would like to Thank you for taking the time to response.

I visited the orthopedic surgeon and he claims that the coccyx pain will settle, he has prescribed some pain killer and adviced me to sit on soft surfaces. He even did mention that at time of delivery there could be problems due to the passage of birth being narrow. He has recommended some ultra sound treatment but he also mentioned that the damage is irreparable and if lucky the treatment may help. - I wonder is there really no treatment for this type of injury?

I have one more problem.  As mentioned earlier I have also fractured my right arm the report reads as "fracture on right arm - the head of the radius bone" This injury occurred on 23 Feb 12 but has yet not got recovered.  My hand was in a plaster/caste for 10 days but the swelling and pain still persist. Will this ever get cured? How long will it take. I am working and my job is a desk job, which means i need to type, write etc.

Please do share your expertise as this is my first bone injury due my life time as well as in my family so I really don't know what are the Do's & Don'ts in this situation.

Await your response.

Thank you.

See an orthopedic surgeon immediately.  If your coccyx is truly rotated 60 degrees, this should be seen and evaluated.
