Cold Knee cures?

Have been reading other's experiences of cold knees. Mine started with one knee and was kind of an odd sensation in the depth of the knee that kept me awake at night and could not be relieved with painkillers or external warmth like a sock over the knee. It has just got progressively worse over the years and now in two knees and more intense, can't sleep or go back to sleep when woken in the night from it. What I have noticed is when the air is more damp and cold at the same time it comes on more. I only notice it at night, possibly I am too distracted and moving during the day to notice.  When I have heated the room more - had the heater on during the night in the winter, it seems to reduce it. Even though electric blankets don't change it. It feels like warmth should fix it, as it is a deathly cold in the marrow feeling. However, I think it is drying out the air that helps. Maybe it's a form of arthritis, or a mixed-signal in the nerves when it is going up into the brain in the processing of an arthritic process that feels like cold, instead of the more typical arthritic aching pain?

Interested that Glucosamine helped one person, and as a vegetarian who does not eat fish, perhaps it is from Omega deficiency or something.  When I had quite a serious head injury in the past I had a core temperature problem, where I felt cold on the inside and could not warm up no matter how much external blankets I put on, I was like a corpse on the inside ... maybe it's something like this with the central nervous system going a bit haywire for some reason?

I haven't had any scans on my knees, guess I could get it further investigated. Feels like an annoying and aggravating thing that until it becomes so bad I can't walk or something I just leave it. However, perhaps I should try some things like glucosamine... Interesting to see so many people with it, thought it was some abnormal think I was experiencing. Must be a cause if so many people experience it?

Would be good to get a list of cures together in the answers if people find ways to relieve it.
