Crepitus all over the body

From a couple of years ago, my body started to develop crepitus all over the places. Started with the left shoulder, then right, then hips, then neck. This seems to happen at night, when I sleep. I always seem to wake up a little worse. Now every way I rotate my body or move things crack or grind in my body, most notably my neck. If I turn it from side to side you could clearly hear its grinding. Very scary. :(
