Foot injury

On Christmas Eve a solid wooden bench fell from a height and hit the top of my foot. A lump the size of a 2p piece appeared and the bruising came out within 24hrs, this lasted for 2-3 weeks. My foot now is still a bit tender when I put on my boots / push the area.

I don't want to waste my Drs time as I can walk / wiggle my toes but it causes discomfort,

Please can I have your thoughts

Is that 2p in the old money or the new money?

Regardless, ice it, elevate the foot, take NSAIDs (but always with food), and most important, rest it.
