I am a 20 year old med student in Buffalo, and recently discovered that I have multiple herniated discs. I believe it was caused two years ago by a plyo-metric regime that caused my body to be uneven on both sides. My left abdominals are more prominent than my right, my right gluteal muscles have inflammation after a normal work out, and lastly, if I do not continue a strict stretching workout my right leg will become 1 inch longer than my left. My question is; I'm going to be snowboarding this year, and I was wondering if a brace would be necessary. I know I shouldn't wear a brace normally/regularly due to decreased muscle strength, but should I consider it for snowboarding?
Also, Can you name some good brands of braces if this forum is convincing?
