How do you get water out of a cast that I'm not sure has the waterproof thingy?

I had taken a shower today and got water in my cast. Its on my ankle with my toes peeping out. Its my third day with a cast, and the water is bugging me. How do I dry it(If I can)? I'm not sure if it has the waterproof fabric thing (I don't know what it is), and I have a hard fiberglass cast. If someone could tell me this, I will be grateful.
