Infiltration and EMG and Doctor report

Please there is something I do not understand in the Doctor Letter I receive .

My Doctor send me to see a rhumatologue and she wanted to no if maybe I might have Fibromyalgia:

This is what he wrote :  At this time after all of the scans ahe has had done she has objective evidence for a C6-7 disc protrusion and also left foramenal stenosis at C4-5 and C5-6 as well as facet arthritis at L3-4 and L4-5 on the CT scan of the lumbosacral spine.  She is using Tramadol for pain control and recently had an evaluation in physiatry with an infiltration at C5-6 and C6-7 and has more of these injections planned at the Institut of Physiatry of Québec.

In view of the objective evidence forr osteoarthritis and disc-related problems, I don't really see other objective evidence for an additional diagnostic of fibromyalgie in this case At this time her treatment seems appropriate and I would suggest that the follow-up with the Physiatry Group for furtheer rehab and treatment would be indicated.

Hello  michellelouise,

It is unlikely that you are having fibromayalgia. The symptoms would not have had been so intense. Just relax and consult your doctor for further direction.

Hello michellelouise,

The ongoing medicine is correct. Your doctor has referred to physiatrist. Physical medicine and rehabilitation, or physiatry, is a branch of medicine dealing with functional restoration of a person affected by physical disability. A physician who has completed training in this field is referred to as a physiatrist. Physiatrists specialize in restoring optimal function to people with injuries to the muscles, bones, tissues, and nervous system.
