Is the mass found during carpal tunnel release possibly fibrolipoma

I had carpal tunnel release surgery just about 3 1/2 weeks ago on my left hand and right hand upcoming in 2 weeks. I've had swelling in the distal portion of the underside of my forearm. I've had complete numbness of the fingers on and off for a few years now. I say complete because it does include the ring and pinky finger.  In the past I have seen 2 hand surgeons for injections (associates in the same practice) and a general orthopedist. The only test that was conducted was a nerve test that confirmed I had moderate to severe CT in the left and severe in the right.  All dr.s agreed the swelling wasn't a cyst the first 2 stated tenosynovitis where as the last stated he wasn't sure but did not believe it to be tenosynovitis. After surgery he advised my husband it was a lipoma. In his OR notes (which was sent to PT) he stated "A small longitudinal incision was made over the volar cysts.  Long. Dissection was performed and it was felt to be a collection of some fiber fatty tissue and a few small collection of venules.  There was no probable cyst, sac, or anything that appeared abnormal. Some of the fatty firm tissue was excised." So my question is could it be a fibrolipoma? I've had these "swolen areas" as long as I can remember, however they definitely have been getting bigger over the years.  And if it is fibrolipoma will it continue to grow.  I'm a hygienist by profession and want to know what the future could possibly hold.
Thanks in advance
