Knee Pain

I broke my R. Femur 3 years ago and the bone didn't completely heal.  I have worn a bone stimulator for a couple months with no results.  The pain is on the distal end of the femur on the lateral part of the bone.  Almost a year ago the physician and I agreed to having a total knee replacement done thinking that the pain would subside.  That was a joke!  The pain is still just as bad as day one.  I go back to the doctor in April and it doesn't look like it will be good news for him.  Now I will have to have surgery on the Left knee joint.  I will wait for that though.  I don't know what I am looking for in treatment now or if any!
