Knee tendon slipping and horrible pain

When my leg is bent anywhere imbetween 90 degrees and  total paralellness, and I rotate my foot slightly clockwise (heel left), something slips in my knee and it hurts like hell. Feels like a tendon on the right side of my right knee. But the pain is in the back. I'm guessing it's my MCL? Anyway, I force myself to painfully stretch my leg till its straight, and somewhere in there something pops. The majority of the pain goes as soon as it pops. But it still has some residual pain for a few minutes after.

This has been happening at the least one time a day, and at the most 4 times a day. Even happens at night when I flop the wrong way. :(
It's been going on for two weeks now. I didn't really have a significant injury to cause it. Just the initial time when it happened under the same circumstances it does now. (bent knee, slight foot rotation)

Anyone know what's going on? I'm worried that if it happens anymore it will stretch it out and will occour more often. Should I go to Somone or try to just let it heal. I'll go easy on it.

I'm a skier so my knees are worn, only 15 though. It didn't happen skiing, happened when neiling.

Any info appreciated!
