Kohler Disease

I have read that only children get Kohler Disease.  My son, when he was 4 years old,9 years ago, developed Kohler Disease.  Years later, I am having the same problem as my son had.  I experience pain and swelling in the middle part of my left foot and limp as a result.  I tend to walk with increase weight on the lateral side of my foot.  I also have tenderness, swelling, and redness.  I have already got xrays and will be getting my results next week. I know I am an adult, but could I be getting this disease like my son?  I have the same symptons?

Hello!

Kohler's disease is a condition, where the navicular bone in the foot undergoes avascular necrosis. Navicular is one of the many tarsal bones of your foot. Avasucular necrosis is destruction of the bone due to no blood supply

Kohler disease is a rare bone disorder of the foot found in children between six and nine years of age. In adults a similar condition is called Panner's syndrome occurs and there are other variations of Kohler which can occur and also affect your metatarsals.
