osteophytes

Here is my MRI results from the test taken on 5th Feb, 2007. Some one please help and let me know if this is any treatment for this. MR imaging of the cervical spine was performed and high resolution T1- and T2- weighted serial obtained in the sagittal and axial planes using a Phased-Array surface coil on a Telsa 1.0 scanner with high strenght gradients. The study reveals evidence of diffuse altered marrow signal intensity involving cervico-dorsal vertebrae showing hypointense signals on T1W and T2W images.
The MRI findings are: 1. Diffuse altered marrow intensity involving cervico-dorsal vertebrae suggest possibility of flurosis / rental osteodystrophy. 2. large posterior bridging at C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 levels causing compression over cervical dural theca and bilateral exiting nerve roots. 3. subtle intramedullary hyperintensity is seen involving cervical spinal cord on T2W images extending from the levels of C4 to C6 vertebrae suggestive of cord edema.

Hi,
How are you doing?
You can write all the reports on this same forum one by one so that we can evaluate you gradually.
Can you please mention clearly which doctors you have seen till now and what have they said why it is difficult to treat?
Which part of India do you belong to?
Keep me posted.
Bye.

Hi,
I am sorry that you didn't understand what PCP is. PCP stands for primary care physician and shoudl be the first reference point for any ailment you suffer.
Which part of India are you located in?
As I have said in other post the treatment for Facet joint hypertrophy is injection of steroid in facet joints directly to be done by an experienced surgeon. It is done in India too.
You should be consulting Endocrinologist and orthopaedician or neurosurgeon for further line of management.
Hope this helps you.
Bye.

Thank you very much for looking into my case. What is PCP and where it is located ? Actually, I am located in India and would like to have all the tests done in India. If you can  please recommend the necessary tests, I can get it done here in India. I am having too many problems with my back portion of shoulder and neck. I can bearly move my neck in both directions. please help. also my brother has a similar but little different problem. I have posted his MRI report also in this forum under Hypertrophied joint problems. All the local doctors here says that there is no tretment for this type of problem. I am scared that in some period of time I will lose the mobility of my upper body as I get old. I am male of 40 years age. please help. if there is any treatment that can help me, I am willing to travel out of country for the treatment.

Hi,
How are you feeling?
The MRI suggests that you are having pathology involving cervico-dorsal vertebrae. You might have symptoms involving your upper limbs. You might have pain, tingling and numbness in both hands.
As they have suggested you might have chronic kidney disorder causing osteo-dystrophy affecting your vertebrae.
You need to see a PCP for further evaluation and also an endocrinologist to look in calcium metabolism.
Keep me posted if you have any queries.
Bye.
