Numbness & heat on "foot drop" leg. Any thoughts?

I have foot drop from a fall on black ice and have had surgery, although it didn't help much. I've now noticed that when I stand for a long period, the front of my thigh (on the affected leg) starts feeling "numb" and then very warm/hot. I imagine this is the nerves acting up, but it's new to me. Any advice?

I have definitely heard of this.  You need to see the neurologist again, I'm sad to say.  You probably still have a compressed nerve that is causing the numbness in the upper part of your leg.  Is the foot drop better since surgery? Does stretching help you at all?
