Platelet Rich Plasma Injections

Are you familiar with the use of Platelet Rich Plasma injections? I have a torn hamstring and am interested in this procedure instead of surgery?

platelet rich plasma (PRP) can be very useful in the treatment of soft tissue injuries  I have used many times for muscle injuries, both chronic and acute, with very gratifying results.
For more information on the specifics of PRP, I have posted a blog entry which is quite detailed.

Hello!

There is an increasing prevalence of the use of autologous blood products to facilitate healing in a variety of applications so it can also be used for a torn muscle.

You can try every form of conservative therapy practiced by an experienced medical practitioner before your final option which is surgery.

Platelet rich plasma contains and releases at least seven different growth factors that stimulate bone and soft tissue healing.

Take care!
