Please help - Ankle - tibialis posterior tendinopathy

So back in Feb (6/7 months) I had a lateral ankle sprain. Swelled up like a balloon, heard a snap. Just did RICE for a few days and left it (no A&E etc). Continue to do sport for a while until it started to hurt, then stopped and booked an MRI. End of July I had an MRI which I've only just got the results of - grade 1 tear.
I have been told that a private consultation is expensive and a standard one through the NHS could take up to 6 months or so. :/
How do I proceed with helping this heal? I've done some preliminary research which would suggest I need to take 2 weeks off work (which I can do, due to being my own company and can work from home) and then couple that with some anti-inflammatorys?
Everything else within the ankle is fine.
