Questions RE: Large bone infarcts

Hi, I have an mri scan results and I thought I simply had a torn meniscus, however my mri showed up, Large bone infarction of the proximal tibia metaphysis and proximal diaphysis. There is also a large bone infarct in the medial femoral condyle which extends to the articular surface, with moderate bone marrow edema. There is a small in farct of the posterior weight bearing surface of the lateral femoral condyle and a mild infarct of the trochlea. Also a small meniscus degeneration and joint effusion.I am really scared, this seems to be pretty serious, anyone with the same things or possible knowledge, help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Hello Dear,

Initial treatment of bone infarction is control of the crisis with bed rest, hydration and narcotics. Start non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as aspirin or ibuprofen, 400 - 800 mg. P.O. q 6 h after infection has been ruled out.
Conservative treatment of meniscus tear  consists  of exercises and stretching .If these treatments do not relieve the symptoms, arthroscopic surgery on the discoid meniscus would be helpful. If the discoid meniscus is torn, the torn portion can be removed. In addition, the discoid meniscus can be shaved into a more normal appearing meniscus.
You should consult your orthopedic physician regarding these treatment options.
