Hi there!

Without an evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the swelling. If the swelling is mild without any other symptoms this may be due to dependent or pressure oedema, which should get better in a few days with physiotherapy/ movement. In cases of more than mild swelling; causes like DVT, infections, inflammations, systemic issues related to liver, kidneys or heart may need to be considered. It would be best to get this evaluated by your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
