What is causing my left back to ache?

I'm having problems in my lower back on the left side. It's been giving me discomfit for the last 2 months or so. So here's the details:
*I don't feel it at rest, only in motion.
*It feels achy and tight, no other symptoms
*X-rays revealed nothing, only disc generation which is nothing new
*Blood and urine test came back fine
*The muscles on my lower left appear tighter and flatter than on my right
*It is not scoliosis
*My left shoulder appears higher than my right
*The Chiro tells me I'm putting 35lbs more weight on my left side
*It does not hurt to press on it.

The doctor "thinks" its a muscle spasm. They gave me muscle relaxers and ibuprofen, but that doesn't fix the root problem. Nor does it tell me what started it in the first place. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
