What kind of exercises can I do after Wrist Fusion & Flexor Tendon Repair?

Old broken non-dominant wrist injury (1983 with medical discharge @ 20% disability) has come back to haunt me when I started losing flex control in fingertips. Turns out arthritic carpal bones have injured tendons to 1st thumb then index finger a month later. Wrist has to be fused to prevent further damage and carpal tunnel tendon repair attempted in 2 separate surgeries. Can I do any kind of (light) weight training or use a rowing machine after healing up?
