am i seeing the right doctor

hi i am suffering severe chronic pain, i was in a MVA many years ago and developed RSDS, my family doc sent me to a rheaumatologist just recently,  she diagnosed me with fibromlalgia, should i see an othro pod doc or should the rheaumatologist be sufficient- i am not quite sure, i know i have seen my ortho doc for surgeries to my wrist and other problems. i just want to make sure i am seeing the right doc. i feel there is damage to my my shoulders, neck and back- it was my ortho doc that first diagnosed RSDS, and referred me to a rheumatologist, neurosurgeon, and a pain specialist- so i am confused as who i should be seeing. the rheumatologist ordered a bone density test, 12 xrays, and a total body scan, and blood work up- should i just wait and if she feels i need to see anyone else wait for her to refer me. thank you

Thank you very much- i spent the day having xrays and a total bone scan, they said that my RSDS would show over activity -it was related to a crushed subtalor (sp) .So based on those results i guess she will refer me from there. i appreciate your speedy respone, and i am asking my GP to send me to a neurologist, as i did not know it was a neurological disorder. thanking you very much.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Fibromyalgia is a neurological disorder and I would suggest you to follow up with a neurologist in this regard and also can follow up for RSDS

Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, can be followed up if it is connected with other bone, muscle, joint or tendon problems with an orthopedician or rheumatologist.

Take care!
