Hello and Welcome to MedHelp! I am the new Orthopedic Community Leader for this website. I haven't been here but a few weeks, so I am trying to offer help, even for older posts. I can only give you my opinion, please please always consult a physician. The condition of bow-shaped legs (Genu Varum) can be treated with the correct exercises, however, for older patients. I (Orthopedic Surgical First Assistant) have seen the best results with a minimally invasive surgery. The worst part of this surgery is that you have to put up with a External Fixator for many weeks. If you or anyone else would like more information on this issue or Knock Knee, please don't hesitate to contact me! Best wishes!  JD1963

Well if you are still young I would suggest you to try simple exercises. I had same problem it helped me to cure my bowlegs. The main problem that you have muscle disharmony. You just need to strengthen proper muscles and your problem will be gone in couple months. You can read more about bowlegs correction exercises here:

Hi, ‘bowing’ leads to increased load on the inner side of the knee causing further wear and tear. In this entire process, the outer side of the knee joint is virtually intact. Osteotomy is now available for patients who have not reached the last stages of arthritis. This involves realigning i.e. straightening the bowed knee the knee in such a manner that the load on the inner side of the knee is transferred to the outer side of the knee. This is done by cutting the lower bone of the knee in a particular. For the cost of surgery, you have to ask the orthopedic surgeons in your area but it is quite affordable and recovery is good. Bye
