I had a TKR about 2 months ago.  For about a good 3 weeks after my surgery I had this horrible burning/stinging sensation at my incision site whenever I tried to walk/exercise.  I could pinpoint exactly where it hurt with my finger.

I went away (thankfully) but did inhibit my rehab.  I was in tears for most of my early physical threapy days but just kept taking my pain meds, elevating, doing the therapy, using ice, taking hot showers and wrapping with an ACE.

My doc never really said what it was caused from.  Only that people have different kinds of post op pain. My therapsist mentioned something about tendonitis??

Sorry, I know that pain is terrible.Call your surgeon if it continues

I am 7 days post-op mpfl and my terrible burning pain started yesterday. Last 5 days I had no severe pain and I could put my leg down but yesterday I got my dressing done and since then I am having terrible pain.. how long did your pain last??
