I have crush injuries to both feet and multiple fractures. I dont know the mechanism of your injury but take your time healing. Dont over do it in any way. All my research has shown me that foot injuries have a nasty habit of leaving you with unexplained residual pain. Good luck!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Jones fracture is a fracture at the base of the 5th metatarsal caused by pull exerted by some tendons such as peroneus brevis muscle. There is pain, tenderness and swelling at the outer border of the foot, most marked at the site of 5th metatarsal.

Diagnosis is easy by an X-ray.

Treatment is by below knee walking plaster cast for 3 weeks.

Take care!
