Hi there!
Well, though your symptoms could be related to nerve impingement/ pressure, neuropathy secondary to micronutrient deficiency etc, infections, inflammations like tendonitis etc., muscle related issues, contractures etc; without an evaluation it would be difficult to point out a particular cause. It would be best to get this evaluated by a primary care physician or an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this helps.
Take care!
Hi Jenny,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your hand pain.
I suggest that you consult your PCP. Usually a stinging pain indicates nerve involvement. This could be a Carpel Tunnel or similar issue though your symptoms are not right on for Carpel Tunnel specific diagnosis. It bears clinical investigation.
Don't let this go untreated or undiagnosed. If it is a nerve impingement time is important as you certainly don't want any permanent nerve damage.... and it can occur quicker then you might imagine. So please get this checked out.
I hope you'll let us know what you discover.
Best of Luck,
~Tuck
