knee manipulation

Blood clots are a common concern in a knee replacement, are they also a concern in a knee manipulation?

I had DKR November 2010 and while the mobility is fairly good, the knee is still hot to the touch.  Not a lot of pain --80 yrs old--am I expecting too much?  Essie

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
No, as knee replacement is a surgery where external body is placed inside the arthritic joint so the most common side effect of a knee replacement is infection, and some times clots, not the same with knee manipulatiion.
Take care!
