MY NAME IS WAYNE.  I AM 32 YEARS OLD  AND KNEE ALOT IN MY JOB AND HAVE FOR 15 YEARS.  I AM AN AUTO MECHANIC.  CONCRETE FLOORS ALL DAY EVERY DAY AND I KNEE ALOT.  SO I AM HAVING PRETTY EXTREME PAIN ONLY WHEN KNEEING ON LEFT KNEE--USUALLY DOMINATE KNEE THAT I ALWAYS KNEE ON WITH ALL MY WIEGHT ON FIRST.   DOESNT HURT TO WALK ON OR BEND OR ANY OTHER MOTION.  RECENTLY I CAN FEEL SENSATIONS FROM A LITTLE BELOW MY KNEE LIKE "PINS AND NEEDLES" BUT VERY SLIGHT.  I CAN LIGHTLY TOUCH BELOW CENTER OF KNEE AND FEEL SAME PAIN WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE LIKE A SLIGHT RUB.   RIGHT KNEE SEEMS OK BUT HAVE NOTICED OCCASIONALLY SOME DISCOMFORT KNEELING ON HARD SURFACES.  BEEN TWO WEEKS NOW WITH PAIN. I CAN ICE MY LEFT KNEE AND IT IS GOOD FOR 16 HOURS(I CAN KNEEL ON IT) THEN PAIN RETURNS THAT EVENING AND I CAN ICE AGAIN AND OK FOR A WHILE???   JUST SWELLING AND I NEED TO BE MORE AWARE OF KNEELING ON HARD SURFACES???

THANKS WAYNE

Any luck guys? I too have excruciating pain on kneeling which then results in numbness on the right side of the lower leg just beneath the level of the knee. It is really annoying because everytime you kneel down to get something in a cupboard you get such stabbing pain!! I've tried pain-killers but they don't seem to help that much....

Hi,
Have you tried knee pads and shoe inserts? They might not solve your problem, but I am sure they might prolong the inevitable surgery. I have back problems and recently had a knee scope done on my right knee. The inserts that I use is call  Profoot. They relieved pressure from both my back and knees. I feel the difference when I wear other shoes or no shoes. I hope this helps.

Regards
