Thank You very much for your interest in my questions and your answers..  I have spoke to my surgeon regarding my condition...  He says it could take up to 1 year...  I had no numbness prior to this surgery or ever with any of my total now 13 surgeries only 2 back surgeries...  I am now 9 weeks post op... More feeling has returned in the left leg.. after I took a bad fall onto this left side...  I am still trying to keep the faith the upper right outter thigh will also return...  I still do not have my left ankle inner side... But below the ankle has returned... Again Thank You very much
Sincerely,

Hi there!

Some amount of pain/ discomfort or numbness may remain a few weeks after the surgery which is gradually expected to get better with time; tough recovery may or may not be complete, depending on the primary condition before surgery. I would suggest discussing the situation and the expected prognosis in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
