leg pain all the time

Hi There,
A year ago I was diagnosed with a slight buldging disk and pain has increased to the point where I have it all day and all night in both legs (like a dull ache that will not ever go away). The ortho doc told me that if he perfomred surgery on it the pain would either really improve or most likely be worse. I had a lumbar fusion 25 years ago and surgery scares the **** out of me. Any alternative besides living on Aleve or Ibproferen for ever? I did see an accupuncturist and that didn't work either.
Need help please?
Thanks,
Mustangdeb

I broke my left leg in the area where the knee cap and femur are connected about four years ago. I'v also had two contusions recently. Everyday for these past years, I've had constant pain it seems like in the bone. I tried physical therapy, but had to stop due to college. Is there anything I can do?

Hello Dear,

You should go in for physical therapy such as massage, and hot, cold therapy.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation  relieves  stiffness and improves mobilityYou should do back extension exercises and yoga.Ultasound waves may also be eefective..Although slow, usually these conservative treatments relieve pain.Surgery may not give cinsistant results. You should avoid surgery and aim at improving the quality of life .
