Sounds like you've been through a really rough time. I had to relearn how to us my right leg too, after surgery. Hope you feel better and maybe when you do feel better you can let him go in there and take care of that screw.
Take Care
severe "ice pik" pain with no discernable pattern, for last 6 mo. Been "watching"it,getting worse, advised a screw was moving at the site, CT = post operative changes w/ posterior fusion as described w/ intrapedicular pins and posterior Harrington Rods and laminectomy changes at L4-5, no fracture, no stenosis, no displaced fragments. I have no idea what level procedure, sorry. I rehabed in nursing home, then had home heath physical therapy, learned to walk again, regained the use of left leg! But then had symptoms w/ right leg 3 mo. post surgery: numbness @ lower R shin, pain in R thigh, sciatic pain R butt. All monitored as wait and see, until 7/19/10 w/ CT. Had respiratory complications @ initial surgery, reintubation concious sedation= need for nursing home= lung abcess= continuous IV antibiotic 6 weeks. I'M ALL SHOOK UP!!!!
How many level procedure was this, is this pain something that's begun recently? Did you make a full recovery from the surgery?
