negative bone scan

bone scan says negative/MRI states multiple compression fractures

Hi there!

The bone scans usually measure activity levels in the bone which may not be high in chronic/ old fractures. However if the fracture is recent, a bone scan may be a better modality for the bone, as compared to the MRI. I would suggest discussing the situation in detail with the concerned radiologist.
