please help KNEE PAIN

I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee 4mos ago. Before the surgery I had an MRI done that showed a torn miniscus however when the surgeon went into my knee, the miniscus was NOT torn. I did have an extremely large band of scar tissue that the surgeon said was so thick he had to saw through it and also was the largest he had ever seen in his career. He removed the scar tissue and then looked around in my knee & said that everything alse looked good. Since the surgery I have done physical therapy which did help increase my range of motion and strength. HOWEVER over the past few weeks I am having so much pain. My knee will twist and the pain is mainly directly right below my knee cap then will radiate throughout my knee and ache for a while. The pain I get when it twists is almost a stretched stabbing type pain if that makes sense. It feels almost unstable. I have swelling that comes and goes. I still have discoloring almost like a bruising that comes and goes. Most nights the pain will keep me awake. I take 800mg of Motrin but it doen't help. A lot of the times the aching will radiate about 6-8 inches above my knee, and/or down to my ankle. I see my surgeon for it tomorrow however I guess I'm wondering if anyone could tell me there opions on what you think it could be...

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

You should apply ice packs after any physical exertion and also in the evening just before going for sleep. Continue pain killers and go for present day scans to diagnose any soft tissue injury.

An MRI will diagnose any complications. You should also go for physiotherapy to strengthen your thigh muscles.

Follow up with an orthopedician.

Take care!
