proper brace

I injured my knee when I was eighteen in a bicycle crash. I am now 28 and know I'd need surgery to fix it. I need a knee brace and to do strengthening exercises so I can still hike, bike, and run. Any suggestions on braces that can withstand such abuse?

We advise you to go for physiotherapy and also an Orthopaedic advice and examination till you get yourself operated.
The most important thing here is to preserve your knee and movements and not to damage it more.

Take care!

Thank you for the advice. I think I did something to my meniscus, but I am not sure. I sadly cannot afford surgery, having no insurance, even though I'm pretty sure I need to. So, I will learn to adapt, and when I can have surgery, I will be sure to get it. I appreciate your feedback!

You are advised to go for corrective surgery before involving in strenous biking, hiking etc.
Because even by use of brace you are not adviced to go for strenous activity.
Brace is for protection from day to day activities and for a support and protection to your knee.

Take a consultation from your operating Orthopaedician before you involve in any strenous outdoor activity.

Take care!
