sore ankle

Last friday I had to run 16 laps and on about my 5th lap my left foot went numb.  I continued to finish the laps and after the run my left foot went cold.  The next day it also went really cold.  Since then just below the bone on the side of my left foot has been sore when i skip and run or jump.  There is no bruising or swelling until today.  There is a slight swelling just below the ankle.  It is very slight.  If I flex my foot up I can feel the discomfort just infront of the bone of the side of my left foot.  Do you know what this can be?  Is it somthing i should be worried about?

Hi.

Your symptoms could be caused by a tendon injury or sprain as a result of sports. A fracture cannot be ruled out without diagnostic imaging. You should initially apply ice on the affected area to reduce the swelling.

Consult a physician to have your symptoms evaluated properly.
