tkr pain help

HELP   I HAD A TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT ON 2009.  I AM IN INCREDIBLE PAIN SO MIUCH THAT I CAN'T FUNCTION.  MY KNEE HEATS UP AND FEELS LIKE IT'S ON FIRE.  IT IS SWELLED UP BAD AND I GET PINCHING PAIN ON THE INSIDE OF MY KNEE.  DOCTORS CLAIM THE XRAY IS NORMAL BUT I FALL ALL THE TIME AND I THINK THERE IS SOMETHING LOOSE OR VERY WRONG.  DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS????????  I FEEL ALLL ALONE AND DON'T FEEL THAT ANYONE UNDERSTANDS.  I AM 36 YRS. OLD AND DOCTORS WON'T FIX IT YET THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME PAIN MEDS BECAUSE I AM TOOOOO YOUNG, THEY SAY.  NO IDEA WHAT TO DO

Firstly, I'm sorry that you are going through this.  It's surprising to me that someone so young would have a total knee replacement.  If I were you, I would get a 2nd opinion.

Hello!

You can take over the counter pain medications such as ibuprofen and apply ice packs.

Pain will only be relieved by physiotherapy.

Make sure by recent scans that you do not have any complications after surgery. Rule out infections and maintain complete hygiene.

Post operative pain should be relieved after a month from surgery.

Take a second opinion as you had your surgery in 2009.
