This seems to be spinal stenosis and may be caused by several conditions, such as spondylolisthesis.
You need a lumbar spine MRI.
It might be something like spondylolythesis. I have that of L-4 thru S-1. Similar.....if I stand or walk slow , after 5 minutes pain is so bad that I have to bend/move to alleviate it. ironically, running doesn't bother it. I've seen ortho guys and pain specialists. The afore mentioned condition puts pressure on nerve roots.at times similar to Sciatica.
See a sports ortho or pain specialist. With some PT/injections/exercise/meds, it can be controlled.
how can it be sciatica ? the symptoms mentioned here:
http://www.medhelp.org/Medical-Dictionary/Terms/1/000686.htm
are nothing like mine.
I have no pain while sitting even for hours
no weakness, numbness, or tingling in the leg - only pain in the heels.
and I don't remember suffering from any injury involving my back for the past 10 years...
sciatica, look the term up> you may have damage in your lumbar spine. All the nerves there would give pain to the area where you have pain. mri would tell you.
Hello Dear,
You should consult a neurologist as your symptoms seem to have a neurological cause and require evaluation. Was there any injury to your spine? You should go in for a MRI to rule out any pathological cause.
