11.2 cm Complex ovarian cyst

So last friday I had an ultrasound and on my left ovary I have a 11.2 cm complex cyst and my PCP sent me for an emergency appointment with my OB/GYN. Later that day at the appointment my OB said that he does want the surgery done soon and that while there is little chance it is cancerous he will run test... Back story ovarian cyst and fibroid tumors are on both sides of my family moms side is all benign and end in a hysterectomy my dads side there is also the same problem except my aunt did have ovarian cancer and she had a hysterectomy and some radiation treatments...My biggest concern is that now I have a 50/50 chance of the cancer and while I'm only 23 my age is on my side... if I do end up having a hysterectomy I'm kinda ok with it because I have 2 kids which BTW seems to be the stopping point on both sides of my family lol... I'm just wondering if anyone around my age has gone thru this and if you have any advice or concerns or input please I'm scared, my PCP is worried that it will rupture cause of the size and to be honest I had a 1cm cyst rupture when I was 17 and it was so painful I do not want that pain EVER again... I guess I'm just looking for someone to tell me their story..

Hope your surgeries went well I am having surgery on a 14 cm multicomplex cyst on my left ovary which killed most of my ovary. Doctor said he would try to save some of it and keep the fallopian tube. Worse part of this all aside from the excruciating pain, pregnant belly and swollen feet is the waiting to see if I will receive a hysterectomy if it is cancerous. This is the worst wait of my life- I am only 20 and would really like to know how it went and if you received a hysterectomy. Im terrified.

... And sharp shooting intermittent pain in my left ovary. I think the worst part is waiting. I've no children and was just about to start trying for a family. I have been told that they may have to lake my ovary so i am trying to prepare myself for this but i still cannot shake the dear that this may be malignant. Best of luck with your surgery let me know how it goes

Hi there i too have been diagnosed with a large complex Cyst, 14cm and growing. My surgery date is not until the first week of November. I am fretting that this cyst may be cancerous. There is no history in my family and because of my age, i am 30, i know the chances are slim. I think the worst part is waiting for surgery. I am so bloated with upper back pain
